Streaming FAQ

Is the live streaming on offer legal?
Absolutely! Bookmakers listed on FootyTV.co.uk's streaming comparison have purchased the rights to broadcast selected events (in certain and restricted territories), much like their TV Counterparts such as Sky Sports or BT Sports. However, for viewing, you must be 18 or over, located in a country where online-gambling is legal and understand and agree with each provider's T&C.

Can i watch a particular event in my country?
Many matches events *ARE* available to stream in the UK & Ireland, Europe and other territories although selected events will be restricted. As a general rule, "local leagues" will be unavailable within the host country, for example; UK viewers cannot watch Championship, League 1, League 2 or Scottish Premiership games. This may not apply to all cup ties however, as selected FA and Carabao Cup games ARE available to view in the United Kingdom. Please check and verify the schedules available yourself on any given matchday before signing up to any provider to attempt and stream a particular match. Please read the following: In partnership with bet365, Unibet and Paddy Power, we offer over 100,000 live streamed events per year. However, please note that the intellectual property rights to stream such events are usually owned at a country level and therefore, depending on your location, there may be certain events that you may be unable to view due to such restrictions. Prior to joining a bookmaker and funding your account therefore in order to view any particular event via the live stream, you are strongly advised to first check that, given your country location, you would be eligible to view the live streamed event in question. Contact details can be found on the FAQ or contact page on each individual bookmaker or site.

Do the live-streams work on mobile/tablet devices?
The majority of matches listed are compatible with pc, smartphone and mobile devices, however, it may vary across brands and models and will require at minimum, a 4g connection to 'watch live'. Please note that although described as 'live', streams may be delayed slightly.

Do I have to pay to watch the live-streams?
Bookmakers will require you have a funded account and/or have placed a bet in the past 24 hours to watch live, no subscription or payment is required otherwise although t&c and regional restrictions will apply. TV networks and online broadcasts from providers such as Sky or BT will require an ongoing subscription also, subject to their own T&C and restrictions. Official club channels such as Rangers TV (for Glasgow Rangers) and Celtic TV (for Glasgow Celtic) require either subscription or a PPV payment but are only available outside of the United Kingdom.
